Hi all,
Below is a question from Shuqun Primary School, where i spotted, what i feel are some mistakes. However, the teacher /setter of the paper insists that he's right, as such, I'd like to see how many of you, my students, will make the same mistakes.
QN:
Do drop by at our shop at anytime. We ___________ twenty-four hours a day.
1. open
2. are open
3. are opened
4. have opened
Please pick the answer of choice before proceeding to the 'comments' link to view the answer.
Cheers,
Keith

Firstly, I'd like to say that the sentence should be 'Do drop by our shop anytime'
The 2 'at's are rather redundant.
Secondly, the answer should be 2. are open. It is a routine, a daily event e.g. I sleep 8hours a day.
The answer which the school/teacher has provided is 3. are opened.
I wonder how many of you got this wrong/right?!
= ]
I think it should be "3", "are opened".
